Cooper Jaye Goodson was born on February 3rd, 2011 with Meconium Aspiration Syndrome. She was admitted to Mission hospital’s NICU and then transferred to Charlotte’s NICU a week later. Cooper remained in NICU until March 10th. O3 Health And Fitness is sponsoring a fundraiser hosted by Jack of Hearts restaurant on Main St. Weaverville to help Cooper’s parents, Jay and Holly Goodson, cover their enormous medical expenses.
Here are the details of the event:
It will run from 2pm until 6pm. Jack of Hearts will be serving heavy appetizers (wings, artichoke dip, etc.) for the event and several local bands, including Lake Effect, will be performing. There will also be a silent auction where attendees can bid on art, gift certificates, jewelry, experiences, etc. Tickets for the event will be $15 for individuals and $25 for couples and can be purchased at the event. All money collected will go to the Cooper Jaye fund in order to help pay her medical bills.
