Give Me a Break

Wear this belt and get 6-pack abs in a short period of time.  Even if you are too busy or tired for a workout, you can watch TV and eat a bag of chips while you wear a belt that will do the work for you.

Or lose 9 inches in 30 days with a piece of rocking furniture that only costs $120 plus shipping.  My wife would rather have a new armchair that will actually be used.

How about a pulley system that fits over a door and gives you “explosive resistance”?

Gimmicks, all. Beware of the “short period of time” and 30-day claims.  And don’t listen to a claim that a gadget will do it for you.

These widgets are just excuses for procrastinators to put off doing the work. Procrastination is made easier by our tendencies to put off tasks – in this case to order the thingamabob, because you know that once it gets here, you’ll surely use it daily….ish.

You have to tame the voice in your head and pick up the dumbbells or run on the treadmill or do the work mapped out for you in boot camp.  Soon you will find yourself not giving in to the easy way out.  Over a decent period of time, pushing through resistance and taming the procrastinator in your head will flow over into other areas of your life.

One success at a time builds perseverance.  Come on in and get you some.

Live life better!
